Okay, you have just impressed me by telling me you strap your skis to your back while biking. I've thought about trying to ski up to the golf course in the winter (for skiing) but it's really steep and narrow, and the hillside gets a lot of sun so it melts out and becomes a muddy mess. So last year I cheated and drove, all of 2 miles. I should bike up (the road, not the trail)! Except it's a hellacious hill.
I do like living here. It's a fairly small city (15,000 people) which is in a valley between two hilly/mountainous areas which have a lot of public land, so it's very easy to get out on trails without a car. The big mountains, though (like Silver) require a car.
