Our broker called us this morning and said he had "a serious query from another broker about buying out our contract." Did I mention that this house was not even officially on the market -- I think the listing broker had signed his agreement about half an hour prior -- when we made our offer? And that they got SIX offers the same day?
It is a measure of how desperately twisted the real estate market here is, that paying $251K for a 2BR 1BA 1130sf (plus basement, another 600sf or so) 76-year-old house, is obviously, by indications such as those mentioned above, a screaming good deal.
