Nah, he just dips his fingers in, but if there is a chance for fish he will fish in it. All of us swam (for various levels of "swim" in Sunlight Lake, though! It has some great smooth granite ledges at the edge by where we camped where it's easy to jump into deep water and then climb out on rock ramps. Very very cold, but so nice to get sort-of-clean while camping.

I looked it up, and there are 200 species of gooseberries! The ones that grow wild in our mountains are Ribes montigenum.
