I'm using ping.fm to update FB, twitter, Plurk, and a few others I don't even check anymore all at once. You can, if you like, make a distinction between "status updates" and "micro-blogs" within ping.fm, although it's not clear to me why one would bother.

I forget. I think I've had it set up two or three different ways, but I've completely forgotten how I did it. I'm only really aware I have a Facebook account when someone comments over there.
