My life is more interesting than can be textually rendered! :-)
I really did have a lot of fun on the hike, although the guide was a little too woo-woo for my taste. (You know, she did this prayer thing before we started, and she talked about e.g. arnica is for topical application only "unless you use it homeopathically" which makes me want to scream because the reason homeopathic preparations of toxins are not toxic is because they are diluted to the point where they don't actually have ANY OF THE TOXIC INGREDIENT in them. Ahem.) And I admit I am more interested in what I can eat than in what will heal my woes. But I do like learning about all this stuff, and the next day I actually went out and bought the book she recommended and gave it to Britt (whose birthday it, um, happened to be) and he is taking it on his backpack.
I am sad about your knees, though. It is such a joy to be able to get out in the woods, and I feel bad for those who can't do it.
