honey chile
Feb. 11th, 2003 09:22 amRehearsal was fun. Chick is a great part; it's the smallest of the female roles, but every time she's on stage she dominates the scene.
At first we were worried about doing southern accents -- the play is set in Mississippi -- but it's not going to be a problem. With lines like, "Why, Leonora Josephine, have you lost your only brain, or what?" you just can't read them in anything but a southern accent.
In other news: phone interview this afternoon about the telecommuting job back at NCAR. Finally.
Looked at more houses. A dark feeling in the pit of my stomach. I am doomed, doomed. Maybe we should be looking at large cardboard boxes.

Date: 2003-02-11 06:17 pm (UTC)I'm starting to freak out about impending unemployment. Intellectually I know I probably won't be out of action for long, but at the gut level, as I told the database whiz on my team just after she returned home from an interview this afternoon, "I'm beginning to think I'll never work again in my life."
Good luck with the interview; I can't help much with the housing issue except to remind you how much lower the cost of living is in Alabama.
