Yeah, I think for me it is that I have certain expectations around activities, that I accept trade-offs but demand the advantages that go with the disadvantages. So if I'm backpacking in the wilderness, I am totally happy with snuggling into a sleeping bag on a pad in a tent, cooking out in the open, mostly by heating water and pouring it into dehydrated packaged food, sitting on a chair that is mostly a butt-sling that balances with my feet - because we have carried it all on our backs and we are up on a mountain in a beautiful place with nobody else around for miles. But if we've been driving and are pulling off onto a forest service for the night, or worse in a commercial campground with other people "next door", I want a reasonably comfy bed and a fridge to keep real food in and a real chair to sit in and a bottle of wine with dinner! (We don't have a toilet or a shower, though we can rig an outdoor shower.)
Sportsmobiles range from quite pricy to ludicrously expensive depending on how many options they have. We bought ours used from a guy in Cheyenne. The website is http://www.sportsmobile.com/ but you should really just page through the for-sale ones at http://www.sportsmobile.com/preowned-sportsmobile-west-inc/ to get an idea of what they look like inside (and how much they cost, to either convince or discourage you!)
