fedex follies
Mar. 15th, 2003 03:06 pmSo, I got the I-9 and other forms via FedEx from NCAR, my soon-to-be-employer-again, and I filled them out and sent them back along with my passport via FedEx, and then yesterday they returned my passport via FedEx. Or tried to.
See, we were home all morning. And I left to go to the bank, and saw a little notice propped up on the mailboxes saying, "we tried to deliver, but you weren't here, so come pick up your package at [inconvenient location]."
GRRRRRR. If the courier was able to get into the building, (which he actually shouldn't have been, without ringing the bell, which is what UPS does, and it works fine) then why the hell didn't he come upstairs and knock on the damn door?
Fortunately, this is a small town. We were heading out in the early afternoon and saw the FedEx truck parked a few blocks away. So I was able to get my passport (and give him a piece of my mind). Well, I guess it doesn't matter if he doesn't know what to do at the apartment building -- we're moving to our new house over the course of the next week or so.
