ilanaramaLast night we watched The Mexican on DVD, which while it did not cause me to run screaming, was at least one of the worst movies I have seen in quite some time. And I'm fairly lax when it comes to movie standards. But after watching a neurotic bitch and a schlmazl with barely two neurons to rub together running around doing stupid things, by the end of the movie I hardly cared if they kissed and made up in the end. In fact, I was sort of pulling for the hitman to kill them both, just to spare the gene pool from their children.
Earlier we had gone to a CMC meeting, to check it out, which was held at a Chinese restaurant here. We had not been to this resto before and were vastly disappointed in the food, kind of cornstarch-gooey and not very flavorful. The best part of the meal was the discovery of the fortunes I got in my two fortune cookies, which turned out to be distressingly apt for me:
Innocence and time, once lost can never be regained
Your judgment [sic] is a little off at this time
Yes, yes, IN BED. Happy?
