Alas, Parks and Rec (who put on this race series) announced that they don't have enough money to put them on this year. Another sponsor was found for the first race of the series (we got a water bottle and a chocolate bar at that one) but I dunno if anyone will put this one on. I hope so - it's the oldest local race, I think.
Most of the races I have done in the last few years (of those that do shirts; most of the shorter ones don't) have moved to tech shirts, which is just fabulous. I actually can run in them now! And I haven't had to actually buy a shirt in years.
