I apologize to anybody whose optic nerve I have just burned out from the combination of pink CEP compression socks and psychedelic-patterned Dirty Girl gaiters. If you should want a closer look - can't imagine why - here you go.

Those are such cute little gaiters! Mine have always been huge and ungainly.

I have great big ones (for xc skiing) and smaller but heavier ones (for hiking) but these are wonderful for running.

Thanks! This was just under 20 miles; I'm running another marathon in a couple of weeks and wanted to get in another long one.

There are also compression calf sleeves (see the bottom of http://www.runningwarehouse.com/catpage-MCRA.html) , which actually I wish I had gotten instead, because these socks give me blisters unless I layer another pair of socks over them, and I would use sleeves twice without washing, but socks, never.

My friend Karah swears by these (this brand in particular as well as compression socks in general; she has other brands but says they don't last as long or feel as good) - I'm more dubious but have taken to wearing them on long runs.

OT, do you have any size 8/M long-legged runner friends (like, 35" inseam in jeans) who know where to find winter running tights long enough? I've googled, but can't really seem to find definite answers - more hearsay stories and "[x brand] used to make…", etc. Or it turns out, yes, this and that brand makes super-long tights - if you're a size 12+…
