Yep, I have become one of those people it's impossible to catch the attention of because I'm too busy taking orders from listening to the voices in my earphones.

I am trying very hard not to be one of those incredibly obnoxious people who hums along to the music YOU CAN'T HEAR but it's hard, it's hard.

Isn't it GREAT?? It's the best part of exercise, and even when I don't feel like going, the thought of having all that time to listen to the pods just motivates me incredibly.

I am totally converted! Now I'm wondering how I managed my 4-hour runs in marathon training without one!

Now you can be one of those people who asks your flist for music to run to. *g*. It's great. I love my iPod. I actually *don't* run with it. I do listen to it all day long.

I can't listen to music while I work - I can't concentrate. And actually, I've been running to podslash! :-) Well, music, too. I'm finally getting around to listening to the music I've been downloading from people.

If you're driving through town and you see me running along the road, and you honk and wave and I ignore you, you know why :-)

Humming to music you can't hear isn't nearly
as bad as listening to half a conversation
when someone is blabbing away on a cell phone.
At least if what they're talking about isn't very
interesting.

I wonder if anyone has ever written a "play",
in which the script is half a conversation,
and they go into a Starbucks and sit down at
a table and perform it for the people who happen
to be sitting around?

Yeah, you haven't heard me sing. Trust me on this.

And hee, that would be amusing performance art!

"You're WHAT?"

"No, no, I understand. But...have you been tested? You're SURE?"

"Wait a minute. How is this my fault?"

I like "interesting" singers. :-)
People with interesting voices ...
like Bob Dylan or John Lennon.
They'd of never won on "American Idol".
They kind of singers they're always
picking make me want to puke.
I'd rather listen to an "imperfect" voice
any day of the week than those.

WRT the "One-sided Cell Phone Act" ... :-)
they need to do it really loud too!
And emote to the extreme!
Collapse onto their knees,
yelling "No, no, no! how could you,
HOW COULD YOU!"

Oh, the possibilities are endless.

Well, turn it UP!

You just don't have it turned up enough for me to hear... or maybe you have the latest revision of software that allows Brett... er you, to limit the volume :-)

I just got an iPod as a "yippee-we-just-went-public" gift from work. I must admit, they're pretty cool.

Oops. Dang it!

That should have been "Britt", not "Brett". Stupid fingers.

Sorry, Britt. I'd have edited my comment, but I'm a LJ weenie, and anonymous to boot.
