back from the wild
Apr. 17th, 2006 07:12 amI appear to have survived the first backpack of the season, an excellent outing to Slickhorn Canyon in Utah. Photos to follow once I get them off the camera and sort through them. PS
littleamerica - if you and the dentist want to take a long weekend the first weekend of May, we're planning on the Fish Creek/Owl Creek loop.

Date: 2006-04-17 05:14 pm (UTC)I'm undecided whether I'll do the half-double (25k trail run Sat/half-marathon Sun) or the marathon.

Date: 2006-04-17 10:31 pm (UTC)I want to do Imogene, but that may be too soon after the marathon.
I can mix and match things up to about half-marathon distance, though. We'll see.
Glad to hear you're thinking of doing another race; does that mean that your knees are all better again?

Date: 2006-04-19 12:02 am (UTC)I was thinking about Imogene as well.
Next race for me will be the Narrow Gauge 10-mile on Memorial Day weekend (part of the Iron Horse festival).

It's funny thinking about droughts in Colorado. I don't ever remember that being an issue when I was growing up!

Date: 2006-04-19 05:32 pm (UTC)The Four Corners region has been in a drought for going on 7 years now, if you don't count last year which was above-normal moisture. There are strong indications that it's a local effect of global climate change, alas, so things aren't likely to get better long-term.
