I just figured out that the person who commented on one of my recent lj entries, in which I refer to someone who is a friend of one of my brothers (in the real-world and not the lj sense, although he is not referred to as such, so it's not obvious from the entry), is a friend (also in the real-world sense, although he is an lj friend of one of my other lj friends) of my other brother.

The first time I read this, despite having first noticed "it's ilana", I had sort of factored this off into "I'm reading an LJ" part of my brain, so when you mentioned your brothers I was somehow picturing some abstract random "brothers"--almost imagining them as your husband's brothers or something--until after I had completed reading it and was trying to puzzle out who was who in it that it dawned on me, wait, I've met both your brothers.
