It is bright red. It is plastic, except for the blades. It is called a "LawnPup" and has a cute little doggie picture on the front. It weighs about 20 pounds. It looks like a toy lawnmower for ages 6-10 "just like daddy's!" It makes a funny whining noise when it starts up; then it sounds like a sewing machine on steroids.

It mows like a mowing thing. Totally kickass. Yay pretty mowed lawn!

Aww, how darling. My mom has a super cute toy-like electric lawnmower, too. Hers is lime green and yellow and is similarly lightweight. I'd love one myself, since the lawnmowing usually falls to me and ours is so heavy and difficult to start that I usually look like I'm having a grand mal seizure when I have to repeatedly and violently jerk its recalcitrant start-cord thingie.

Haircuts and lawn mow-n-edge jobs- best quick fixes in the world.

Well, I bought this one off Ebay from a "commercial surplus" guy who seems to be selling a lot of them. A little pricy for what it is ($95 including shipping) but I'm happy so far!

I tried so hard to buy an electric machine locally, either used or new, but nobody carries them around here, because except for us townies everyone has 35 acres and uses big old riding mowers. Even the push mowers are these big honking gas-guzzlers - the SUVs of lawnmowers.

People who live in town and have postage-stamp lawns tend to use reel mowers, which you can buy here. We have one that came with the house but it's a dull and difficult-to-use mess despite attempts at lubrication and sharpening. Drove me crazy last summer and this spring, which is why I now have the cute li'l lawnmowerette.

OMG! That's the cutest thing ever. I want to take it into work; I can just imagining using it, when everyone else has these huge, cumbersome lawnmowers that actually mow fast. It'd take me at least 16 hours to do all my mowing with that thing.

I'd still want to use it, though. Just to see the expressions on their faces.

Oh, yeah, this is strictly for city-lot-size baby lawns. Its swath is only 13" so it would take a lot of work to mow a big area. But because the blade is so small and light the motor is relatively powerful, and it did an awesome and fast job of our sadly overgrown lawn.

Sure, it looks cute now, but wait until it grows up.
