doing a girly thing, for a change

So, um, I bought a straightening iron.

And for those of you who were wondering, beneath the cut is a picture of me with straight hair, and an older picture of me with my ordinarily wavy hair. (I don't think I have any recent photos with my hair down - mostly they are hiking pictures, and my hair's in a ponytail.) You may recognize the older photo as being from HOTT.BOB - I think that's Gary Heston in the background!

I just like the options, I guess. I think I look more sophisticated with the straight hair. I kept turning my head to catch sight of myself in store windows, coming back from the hairdresser.

You look younger, not that you look your age by any means, but the straighter hair seems to do it. I'd still love to have thick, straight hair.
